GOV.UK browser and OS analytics

As of 26 February 2026, the powers that be have asked that I cease the publication of GOV.UK analytics data and remove access to any previously published data.

This is a little sad, as GOV.UK analytics data has been publicly available in some form for several years by several individuals, I was only the latest to pick up the mantle of doing so. It’s the end of a little legacy.

I know a number of people found the data useful as a curiosity, a means of tracking UK-centric changes to user demographics, and to inform their own decisions when developing online services (including some civil servants!)

I am working internally to get this information re-published through more official sources.
